Whole Grain Stuffing

Toss the white bread and bags of premade bread crumbs!

Let's go for whole grains this holiday season!

Here is a yummy alternative to the traditional stuffing that is loaded with simple carbs making you feel blah and well.. STUFFED!!

WHOLE GRAIN STUFFING

What you need:
3 cups whole grain such as barley, brown rice or quinoa
1 celery bunch, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 cup cranberries
1 apple, chopped
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
3tbsp olive oil or coconut oil
1/2 cup parsley chopped
2 tsp dried sage


*Cook rice in water, set aside
*Saute celery, onion, herbs in oil until tender
*Add apple, saute for a few short minutes
*Add rice, cook until warm throughout,
*Add cranberries and walnuts, mix well
Serve on the side or Stuff your turkey!

Yum!!!

So delicious! A little sweet, a little tart, a nice crunch!
